Opening Vernissage for Georg Goriup’s Art Show in Merano, Italy is on August 7 2014 at 8pm at the Ansitz Rosengarten in Lana. The show will be on from August 7th to 21st.
This is my dads first solo art show and I am so proud of him.
He has been drawing and painting for years and his style has really taken off and become something very particular and interesting. He even made all the frames himself to match the paintings.
Georg works mostly on paper and board with acrylics, chalk, pastels and anything he fancies at the moment. His very expressive style reminds me of Egon Schiele and Gustav Klimt a little in the drawing, but his color style and design is all his own and there are no similar. His paintings are almost all very large in size and that means a lot of work, but he loves it.
I wish I could be there to see it all happening, but for now I will do my part in advertizing and showing his amazing work online. So if you are close to northern Italy and have time to go see it, let him know you saw this blog and say hello.
